147,000!!!

147,000 people!! That's how many people attended the North Carolina State fair on the same day as us!!! It was NUTS!!! Next year we are definitely taking a day off and going mid week. We did have fun and the weather was wonderful!!


Here is Alyssa having her first Fair food of the day!!

Here is our first ride of the day. When you buy those little tickets you don't really think about it, but at $1.00 a ticket, 3 tickets per ride, 4 people...we just paid $12.00 for a 1.5 minute ride on the teacups!!! OUCH!!

Can't go to the fair without riding the big slide!!

The south is famous for putting everything on a stick, breading and frying it. I searched all day for the deep fried peanut butter cups!! They were good, but had a bit too much breading!! We tried the fried Peanut butter cups and the fried snickers bars...still a little bummed we never found the fried twinkies!!

All the kids wanted was the cotton candy!!

And here is my one 'artsy" shot of the day!! Really wanted to get some shots from the ferris wheel, but with 147,000 other people trying to get on we opted to skip it...maybe next year!!
